Here’s a party game to try the next time you’re planning a fun event! This game is called The Human Piñata. The rules are quite simple. There are two kinds of players: those being chased, and those doing the chasing. It all begins with an old t-shirt, a glue gun, and some candy. Before your event, glue candy all over the shirt, and have the person volunteering to be the Human Piñata put it on. Get all the kids to line up and count down together to the moment when the chase begins. The kids will chase the candy-riddled party guest until they have grabbed and pulled off all of the candy.

Having multiple human piñatas within one game is the best way to ensure that the kids all get a turn, and manage to each grab enough candy. Large spaces work best for chasing, so this would be the perfect party game at a birthday party in Central Park, Astoria Park, Prospect Park, and so on. (And if you’re one of those rare and lucky New Yorkers who have their own backyard, then what are you waiting for? Get the kids outside and try this game out today!)

Now that you’ve tricked all those kids into exercising, maybe their parents won’t give you the stink eye for sending them home with all of that candy. Well Done!
